Numzz

Hi! I’m Trinity, and this is my best friend, Apollo. Apollo is a super sweet 6-year-old German Shepherd who has been by my side through everything—teenage heartbreaks, getting my first job, moving to college, and building my career.

But Apollo’s journey hasn’t always been easy. When he was just a year old, he started having trouble with his hips. My dad and I took him to the vet, and they told us, “That’s common for his breed.” I was devastated. He was just a puppy! We had to stop going on walks and visiting the dog park. It was heartbreaking to see him cooped up in the house, limping around. Years went by with minimal activity, and I watched him get worse.

One day, Apollo really wanted to play fetch with his dog friends. I decided to let him chase the ball just once… and that one run tore his ACL. Now he had a torn ACL and hip pain. He couldn’t put pressure on his back leg and would drag it across the floor. We went back to the vet, and they said, “He can get his hips replaced, but it will be an expensive, painful surgery with a long recovery. Even with new hips, he might still have issues later. Or we can put him down.”

Hearing those words shattered me. I kept thinking, “Am I selfish for keeping Apollo in pain?” I called my dad crying to tell him the bad news. He listened and asked a lot of questions. A few weeks later, my dad came to me with a possible solution. He told me about a plant from Malaysia that’s been used for thousands of years to ease pain and discomfort.

We tried it, and within hours, Apollo seemed more comfortable. Over the next few days, his condition improved significantly. He could move more easily, sleep better, and seemed happier. Apollo has been taking these treats twice daily since then. He’s going to be okay and live a long, happy life. That’s how Numzz came to be—my dad’s devotion to Apollo’s wellness. I’ll always regret letting Apollo run that day, but I’m glad things worked out the way they did so that we can help other dogs. Numzz is the real deal—just ask Apollo.
